Community Pop-Ups
Stay tuned for 2025 Pop-Up dates! Our services are designed to remove barriers to veterinary care in specific communities: Humboldt Park, South Shore, and our own backyard.
At our pop-ups, we provide:
- Free Rabies and Distemper vaccinations by a veterinarian
- Rabies 12 weeks of age and older
- Distemper 6 weeks of age and older
- Free microchipping
- Help with pet care, leashes, and pet food, while supplies last
Pet owners must keep dogs on a leash and cats must be in carriers.
We reserve the right to deny services if an animal can not be safely handled.
These events don’t take pre-registration! It’s all first-come, first-served. We reserve the right to prioritize patients from the neighborhood zip codes.

2024 Community Impact
This pop-up season, we hosted five community pop-ups in the communities of South Shore, Humboldt Park, and West Rogers Park—our own backyard! By the end of the season, we served over 550 dogs and nearly 300 cats! We distributed over 2,500 pounds of dog and cat food and provided over 400 microchips and over 700 rabies vaccines to pets in the community!
This incredible achievement would not have been possible without the support of our dedicated volunteers, generous sponsors, and the incredible communities we serve.

TNR
We’re thrilled to continue our mission at the Veterinary Wellness Center through our work in the community. The VWC offers competitive, discounted pricing for Trap/Neuter/Return surgeries. TNR services are available by appointment only and are exclusively for outdoor cats. Cats must be brought in humane traps and covered with a sheet or towel.
