GROUP VOLUNTEERING
We love our community partners and the unique support they provide to Tree House! There are plenty of ways to help cats in need as a group and we’re so grateful you’re interested in working with us.
Please note that Tree House has a very limited number of onsite volunteer opportunities for groups that we typically reserve for our current community partners.
For the well-being of our cats, direct cat interaction is not always guaranteed with group service.
Upcoming Group Opportunities:
Cat Walk – Summer Bar Crawl
Cat Walk is Tree House’s fan favorite summer event that raises friends, funds, and awareness for our cats. Volunteers such as yourself help to support the event’s success by assisting with the setup or tear down of event supplies, checking guests in, distributing event swag, pointing guests in the right direction, and being an ambassador for Tree House and our programs. And you’ll enjoy free admission to the bar crawl after your volunteer shift is finished!
When: Saturday, August 19, 10:30 am-2:30 pm or 1:30 pm-6:30 pm
What you’ll do: First shift – setup of event supplies (tents, folding tables, etc.), checking guests in, managing guest flow. Second shift – be a Tree House ambassador and lead activities at our partner bars, give out prizes, and help us tear down event supplies.
Where: Half Acre, 2050 W Balmoral Ave
# of volunteers needed: Up to 25!
Requirements: 21+, comfort standing for long periods of time in typical summer weather
Catbaret – A Tree House Humane Society Gala
Catbaret is Tree House’s annual gala that highlights the lifesaving efforts our community makes possible and celebrates the generous support that enables us to do so! Volunteers such as yourself help to support the event’s success by assisting with the setup or tear down of event supplies, checking guests in, distributing event swag, pointing guests in the right direction, and being an ambassador for Tree House and our programs. And you’ll enjoy free admission to the gala including dinner, drinks, dessert, and live music.
When: Thursday, October 12, 5-10 p.m. (event is from 6-9 p.m.)
What you’ll do: Any or all of the following: unload and setup of event supplies, greet guests, check-in and/or register attendees, assist with our program and fundraiser, process donations, and help us tear down and pack up event supplies.
Where: Greenhouse Loft at 2545 West Diversey Ave (free parking is available)
# of volunteers needed: 5
Requirements: Comfort standing, sitting, and walking during duration of shift. Ability to use a computer and write notes on a clipboard.
