Community Pop-Up Clinics

Since the Veterinary Wellness Center opened in 2021, Tree House has extended its accessible vet services initiatives beyond its doors with community pop-up clinics.

Tree House community programs help to make veterinary care accessible and affordable in specific communities across Chicago, including Humboldt Park, South Shore, and our own backyard of Rogers Park.

Our pop-up clinics provide:

  • Free rabies and distemper vaccinations for cats and dogs
    • Rabies: 12 weeks and older
    • Distemper: 6 weeks and older
  • Free microchipping for cats and dogs
  • Assistance with pet care, leashes, and pet food
  • Human health services (varies by pop-up clinic)
    • Previous services have included STI testing, sexual health counseling, lung screenings, and more

Stay tuned: Future pop-up clinic dates will be updated on our Events Calendar!

New Heights in Community Vet Medicine

In November 2024, Tree House hosted its first mobile spay/neuter pop-up clinic in partnership with the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and several community partners across Chicago. After years of providing free vaccination and microchip services at community pop-ups, the need to bring low-cost spay/neuter procedures to communities lacking established vet clinics became undeniable.

Since our first mobile spay/neuter pop-up clinic, Tree House and our community partners have continued to bring this essential procedure and other vet services to targeted neighborhoods across the city.

2025 Community Impact

Last year, we hosted six community pop-ups in the communities of South Shore, Humboldt Park, West Rogers Park, and Richland County. The highlights include:

  • Over 300 cats and 380 dogs served
  • 500 pounds of dog and cat food distributed
  • 350+ microchips and 600+ rabies vaccines provided to pets in our communities

This incredible achievement would not have been possible without the support of our dedicated volunteers, generous sponsors, and the incredible communities we serve.
